Setting up users

I am new to Joobb and super confused. I have all of my Joomla Users already in Joomla. However, I want to add a whole seperate group of users that specifically only use the Joobb forum. So the users that use Joobb will not have access to edit articles in Joomla and Joomla users wont have access to Joobb. Can someone please explain this to me?
