Firstly, what a fantastic component! This does more than almost all of the others out there, and so far (at least in my limited experience) has been very stable.
Anyway, my suggestion:
I am building a site for an official association that has a members database. They want a members forum whereby they can add in members' details when THEY create the account (as members will not be able to create accounts - user registration will be disabled.) However, once the administrators have added in the correct user details the user could go in there and remove/modify them. Would it therefore be feasible to add in a checkbox in the Profile fields section that says 'deny user editing of this field'?
Also, on such a site where the user does not get to register, and therefore does not agree to the terms and conditions, maybe it is worth having an 'I agree to the site terms' checkbox at the bottom of either the first post for that user or all posts?
Hi Martin,
My opinion is that these suggestions are pretty specific to your requirements only, I can't see them being a priorety or considered for future releases. Maybe a "Agree to terms" on registration, but not for each post.
However disabling profile edits might be worth looking into, I'll have a ganders at this myself, but it wont be included in JooBB until Robbie gives it a green light tho.

Re Terms: What I was after was simply a link to the terms that could be visible at any time. Realistically most people do not read the terms when they sign up for most things online (let's be honest!), but there may be occasion where they want to check the terms at a later date. If that could appear as a link in either the header or footer menu bars (and perhaps with the ability to enable/disable from the backend) I think that would be fine.
Re locking profile: That'd be great. Cant' ask for more than that...
Hi Martin,
thx!
This is one of the features I simply forgot (Link to terms). I will manage it next time.
I will check the possibility of required data fields from beeing modified.
Kind regards,
Robbie
Hi Martin,
link to terms is implemented. Disabling special fields from beeing edited by user is implemented too.
Next release will be available next week.
Kind regards,
Robbie

Where can I find this future and turn it on?
I cannot find where to disable fields from being edited by users either? I've tried going into Profile Fields Manager, editing a profile field and changing Disabled to yes but this makes no difference.
Am I doing this wrong?
