Has nayone else noticed that ebay is full of fools. I was bidding on a second hand 300GB SATA II HD, and it was a reasonable price, then two idiots joined the bidding and pushed the price to over retail value for a new version of the same HD.
Its not possible getting bargains on ebay anymore, gets on my nerves having waited 4 days for the auction to end!

I've had horrible experiences on eBay and tend not to use it any more.
There was once a rare book in a collection of books that I wanted, but the auction ended while I had to drive home from work. I put a pretty big bid on it ($120), because that was what I was willing to pay for it, even though the auction was presently hanging around $30 bucks before I left work.
During the hour drive, the auction ended, and the one bidding competitor I had during the whole auction pushed the total all the way up past my max bid, then retracted her bid.
I wouldn't have overbid up to 120 bucks if I couldn't pay for it, but that wasn't the issue. It was the 'let's drag his bid to the maximum, then retract out of spite' that irritated me. So I reported it all to eBay and after two weeks of debate: absolutely nothing happened.
I got my rare book, though, and I love it.
