If I install this version would I be able to upgrade to next or would I still have to uninstall and install?

Post Re: Joo!CM and Joo!BB Prototypes 0.9.0

There was an error installing the JooBB CM module with the following error:

JInstaller::install: File '/var/www/tmp/install_4999c1b5a7e43/com_joocm/captchas/joocm/fonts/chowfun.ttf' does not exist.

I was installing this on my clean test server.

Jason

P.S. I installed the main file first, then the editor, and then the CM module.

By the way, uninstalling the JooBB module produces the following error sequence:

JInstaller::install: SQL Error. DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`' at line 2 SQL=DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions` DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;
SQL =
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions`
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;Component Uninstall: SQL error or missing or unreadable SQL file. DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`' at line 2 SQL=DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions` DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;
SQL =
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions`
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;

Jason

P.S. Both errors can be replicated on multiple test servers

Jason,

The error for missing chowfun.ttf is due to the file in the package being named "chowfun.TTF". The installer is looking not to see caps in the .ttf as it's case sensitive at least on a linux server.

Best to extract all files from the package, change the file extension on BOTH chowfun files to .txt and .ttf respectively to eliminate the caps on the extensions. Then use an ftp program to upload the files into your ../your_joomla/tmp directory and install from there. You could create a new zip package after fixing the files, but I did not do it that way so it's untested. I assume there is no special trick to the zip file, but untested by me.

Mine installed fine after that slight tweak and I'm sure Robbie will fix the install package after seeing the errors.

Jason,

For clarity, uninstalling the Joobb module?? Do you mean the .7.7 module or what module version are you trying to uninstall?

I was attempting to uninstall the prototype 0.9.0 module from a server on which I had not installed any previous version of JooBB. This was a clean install of Joomla on a testbed server.

I will be running the new version through its paces on my test server. The installation went just fine. So far the only problem I have encountered was with JooCM and an inability to select and save a preference for my own avatar. The image also looked severely pixelated when I uploaded the file. Once uploaded I was unable to select it as my avatar.

Hi,

i'm trying to use Joo!BB within Joomla 1.5.9.
Pushing "Agree"-Button on register dialog results in:
"Fatal error: Cannot pass parameter 2 by reference in /Library/WebServer/Documents/test.at/components/com_joocm/views/register/view.html.php on line 71".

I have installed Joo!CM and Joo!CM (both 0.9.0).

please help

Dariusz
