As i'm currently looking for a forum solution (and fall in love with Joo!BB after testing it locally), if i'll install 0.58 alpha now, will there be constantly patches for the alpha avaialable or would it be better to use another forum software for now and switch over to Joo!BB later?
Just asking this, as i noticed an update from 0.57 to 0.58 wasn't possible?
Or is it always possible to overwrite the files on the ftp in order to keep the forum uptodate?
Hi,
it is nice to read you like Joo!BB. Please be in mind, Joo!BB is still an alpha version. It is not recommended to use it in production environment. You can believe me, it's really hard to me to say: Please find other solution for now.
I decided to stop offer updates at the moment, because of speed up development. I guess, there will be updates on the second beta release.
There have been to many changes between 0.5.7 and 0.5.8. It's not enough to copy (and override) all file via ftp. There have been some DB changes too. Sorry!
Regards
Robbie
Ok, thank you for your fast and honest answer. I'll still watch the development of Joo!BB with great interest and guess i'll swith to it later once it has reached second beta or RC status.
Do you have a public SVN, I don't mind testing with alpha version.
hi,
there was a svn until JoomlaCode have been redesigned.
when I find some time I will offer it again.
