Hi,
You can find the file here : http://www.amab.be/language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_joobb.ini
And you can find the rendering here : http://www.amab.be/index.php?option=com_joobb&view=board&layout=joobb&Itemid=16
It is not complete but it's now usable, there are no more "JOOBB_" labels on the 0.5.8 frontend with this translation.
I upgraded the french (front-end) language file with some 1.5.9 labels/translations.
But the sample english language file seems to be incomplete, where can I get the complete version ?
I sent a message on the french translation project page (Joomlacode) but I got no answer...
hi Trash,
you will find some usefull information here:
Creating Translation Package for Joo!BB
please be in mind, there are still some hard coded strings. the first beta version (0.7.0) will be fully translateable.
regards,
robbie
Sorry for the delay, I received no e-mail notification about this thread...
The main sample language file is only 38 lines ! Many translation labels doesn't appear in this file (I'm not talking about hard coded strings)... I suppose it isn't complete ?
The french language pack available in the download section is for 0.5.5, could you check my updates please ?
Quote by Unknown:hi Trash,
sorry, there is a bug sending e-mails automatically.
OK, I suppose you are working on this bug ? It's a useful feature...
Quote by Unknown:it is a sample file. it doesn't include the latest changes. please use language files from the current version (0.5.9) instead. as described in Creating Translation Package for Joo!BB there are more language files to translate.
I think it could be easier to translate if there are sample language packages with right files corresponding to the different versions. I made a sample package up-to-date for 0.5.9 here : http://people.open-minds.org/laurent/joobb/joobb_language_0.5.9.zip
OK for the multiples language files, I didn't see that. What is the reason to split language files like that ? I don't understand... And what about the buttons/smilies translations, why there is a language file for each color ?
Quote by Unknown:rennsouer startet the project Joo!BB French. maybe you can ask him to join or take over the project, so there will be a current version?!
I already tried to contact the project administrator but I got no answer... Here you can find a first version of my french package (administrator language file from rensouer + template language file fully translated + main language file partially translated) : http://people.open-minds.org/laurent/joobb/joobb_language_fr-FR_0.5.9-1.zip
Wow, what a security hole...
The quote button wasn't on your last post so I used the URL of my last post and I changed the post ID in the URL... I can edit all your posts using the quote or edit URL...
No problem to move a topic to an other forum with the edition feature and "forum" parameter...

I'am back from holiday. I will try to answer your posts this weekend.
BTW: "Notify Me On Reply" is now working fine.
kind regards,
robbie
Yes I received the notification e-mail, cool !
lol, I quoted your post but it overrided your original post with your quotes message + my answer...
I receive e-mail notifications for my own posts, is it normal ?
Hi Trash,
no, I didn't forget you. Joo!BB has been removed from the Joomla Extensions Site because of a security problem, so I tried to create a useable release.
Quote by Unknown:I receive e-mail notifications for my own posts, is it normal ?
This is fixed in 0.7.0.
I will also fix the quatation problems soon.
Please see Translation Downloads. I made a temporary link to your translation. I will try to contact the joomlacode admins and tell them, if it is possible to set you as admin of Joo!BB French.
The multiple language files are needed to grand more flexibility. People will see that, when there are other templates, icon- button- and emotion sets available in future. For example, I created a Skype Emotion Set for Joo!BB. Imagine, you have one translation file... Installing this emotion set would mean that there is a need to edit the file and make changes to it. In case of multiple files there is no need do this. You can simple install the emotion set (language file included) and everything works fine. Maybe someone translated this emotion set to the language you are using, so you can simple install the translation and... yes everything is working fine.
I know that this is more work for translators. But I'am oriented on the end user.
I will try to create a new translation sample today and let you know when I'am ready.
Kind regards,
Robbie
OK for the download link ! No news from the joomlacode admins about the french translation ?
