Joomla's ACL is small, detrimentally small, and it's a complete pain to add new groups. Does this forum support customization of access control lists?
example
Joomla's Base ACL
Public Front-End
-Registered
--Author
---Editor
----Publisher
Public Back-End
-Manager
--Administrator
---Super Administrator
These work fine if all I'm doing is governing access to main site functions like article creation, editing, and publishing. But they are next to useless for forum access control.
Effectively this provides 2 groups, normal registered user, and moderator/admin since every subsection gets all the same rights as the parent. What I need is the ability to set my own group names and give them all DIFFERENT access to the forum. I have several different layers of access to use, 2 groups won't cut it.
I need individual list items, and I can make more, but so far, the Joomla native forum software I've used or looked into does not support custom added groups. I just need to know if I can do that with this forum before i spend time installling and configuring it just to find out I can't.

Hi Zoltar,
yes. This forum has a unique access control for any single action (similar to phpBB). You can also create access groups and assign users to them.
Kind regards,
Robbie
