I have done a clean install of Joomla 1.5.14
Using template JA_Purity_II (tried default also)
Installed JooCM (and database)
Installed JooBB (and databas)
Installed AND enabled Editor - Joo!BB
Tested the Forum and everything works excellent!
Now, this is what i wanna do:
I wanna use the editor 'CKEditor' in the Forum.
I set CKE as default in Joomla config.
I set CKE as default for JooBB in the Configuration Manager.
I go to Forum and Reply\New Topic and i come up with a totally misplaced Editor
where the 'Text-area' contains 'jbEditor required'.
This also happends if i chose Tiny MCE as Editor.
Isn't it possible to use any other editor than JooBB's own in the Forum?
Or am i missing something obvious??
By the way, CKEditor works as supposed in Backend with those settings...
I don't believe that currently you can use any editor other than the Joo!BB Editor. That may be an enhancement down the road, but for now you need to use JooBB Editor for the forum and your other editor for everything else.
Jeff
OK, thanks for that quick answer.
At least i know now and can concentrate to 'simplify' things for my users
It's a pety though that u can't chose any of the other Editors as default in JooBB,
not saying that the provided editor is bad, but sometimes another option fits the
needs better...
Can i put it on the 'wish-list'?
Sure you can. Put it in the feature request forum. As I said, it may already be planned, but I can't recall as I deal mostly with support or documentation and not really development.
BTW, if you just want more robust emoticons or something like that you can easily do that.
