Hi, I'm new; I apologize for my English.
I just installed Joo!BB 0.5.8 on my site and it give me the following problem:
instead of the correct texts, appear their tags; so, for example, instead of the welcome message appears to me the words "JOOBB_WELCOMEJOOBB_COMMA", instead of the link to my settings appear the words "JOOBB_LINKMYPROFILE", instead of the link appears to exit the inscription "JOOBB_LINKLOGOUT" and so on...
Someone knows explain me why and how can I do to solve this problem?
Please help me.
Thank you very much to all who read my post and even more thanks to those who will help me solve my problem.
Sincerely, Mauro
Ok, the problem is that I set the Italian language by default, in Joomla; setting the English everything worked properly.
I tried to copy configuration files from the folder "en-GB", changing their names as "it-IT", in the folder "it-IT" but, re-setting Italian as the default language, the problem was resubmitted.
Why?
There is an Italian translation?
Thank you very much, Mauro
hi mauro,
please be in mind that there are some more translation files.
please see Creating Translation Package for Joo!BB.
I hope this will solve your problem.

Hi,
now the bug is definetly solved. Please be in mind, that there must be a translation in the desired and configurated languaged.
For example:
JOOMLA_ROOT/components/com_joobb/designs/templates/joobb/language/de-DE
Otherwise english language will be loaded as default:
JOOMLA_ROOT/components/com_joobb/designs/templates/joobb/language/en-GB

Hi there, i've installed
joomla 1.5.9 in Italian
JooBB 0.91
JooBB Italian translation 0.7.1
And i have the very same problem described above.
Both in front- and backend the tags are screwed, appearing like:
BB_login
BB_mysubscription
and so on...what should i try to fix that?
thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
I don't use any language other than the English default, but it seems to me that the Italian translation in ver .7.1, is far behind the current JooBB install of .9.1 so they most proabably are not compatible.
If .9.1 isn't translated into Italian, you need to use the English package, in my understanding or translate it yourself.
Jeff
Aaah...i see!
well, i will check whit the author of the last italian translation to know why is still behind then!
Thanks mate!
