Need some Help

Hi,

first of all i want to Thank you for the great Work you did with JooBB and JooCM it is excatly what i've been looking for.

I need some Help with your Forum and Community, i tryed finding some information
about my problems but I couldn't really find any help.

1.Is there a way to change the (Mittwoch, 20.Januar 2010 09:54 - All times are (UTC +01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Brüssel, Kopenhagen, Madrid, Paris) to just Date and Time (Mittwoch, 20.Januar 2010 09:54). Because i don't have that much space on my Page so it's not fitting on the left side from the search Box.

2.Im having some trouble with the width from the Forum. When i create a new Topic or reply to one. The Upload Attachment Box is to big. So its laying over the border from the Forum. If i'm replying with a width Text the width of the Forum changes. So if im replying after the width Text the size is fine. If i could change the width from the Path- Box to width of 20 would help me a lot or to change the forum width to a bigger min. width.

3.I can't get the Messags to work. Is there a Tutorial or anything else that could help me with that? Just receiving an 404 error page or it just refreshes the Page.

4. Last thing, i want to have static links to certain Member Profils in my Page. There is already an option "Joo!CM - Profile" to create those links. But it only displays a Blank Profil, how can i choose the User what i want to see?

2. When I'm at home, I will have a look at this.

3. You need UddeIM, or some other PMS you like. When you install an other, please go to Joo!CM => Interfaces, find the entry "Messages" and make changes to the parameters.

4. Do I understand you correctly that you want to create a menu entry (e.g in user menu)?

Please edit JOOMLA_ROOT\components\com_joobb\designs\templates\joobb\joobb_board.php. Find the code:

4. A menu item to certain user is not possible. This could be a nice feature. All you can do, is a menu item to the current user.

Uddeim configuration

All,

Sorry, but I've been slammed at work this week and on the road traveling, but I'm contemplating adding to the Documentation wiki here at Joobb, a basic instruction set for configuring Uddeim as we offer that link as our standard setup. The documentation that I'm able to find on-line is weak and several users over the past 6 months have struggled to get this set up correctly and working.

My personal installation is slightly different as it's plugged into Community Builder (CB came first like the egg before the chicken! ), not the JooCM although they both co-exist on my site and work well together.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend, I may have this accomplished and posted.

oh yes, this is a jinxed week (I hope I can say it this way. Sounds like a German-English 1:1 transtlation). Therefore, it's done, when it's done.

Hi Robbi,

so whats the current status with that attachment Box width?

A other Problem appeared since im using the German version from JooBB and JooCM the Post Icons are got messed up with
there width too (only Firefox).

On my Profil on the right side that little Box with Profil infos and avatar the width is wrong too, you can see it on
the pic.(only Firefox)

The width from the Boxes in Profil picture upload is not right either.(only IE)

Tryed finding it but nothing did really work.

Robby,

first of all... There is a need to make changes in the template and css files. Therefore it's recommended to use a separate template and style so you will not lost your data on updates. You can find some information doing it this way at documentation page (creating templates).

You can try to decrease the number of emotions (smilies) per row. You can do this by editing the Joo!BB Editor plugin in the backend and just set it to 4 or a value you like. Doing this you should get more space for the editing area (righthand).

The width of the Post Icons can be set in CSS only. You can find it in JOOMLA_ROOT\components\com_joobb\designs\styles\joobb_black\joobb_black.css. Find the entry Code

and play with the width a little bit.

I don't know how to resize the Upload Attachment Box, too. I tryed to make some changes but it didn't work. I'm still on it and I will report to you later.

I'm so stupid... I tested the wrong file.

To decrease the size of of the attachment box please edit the files JOOMLA_ROOT\components\com_joobb\designs\templates\joobb\joobb_editpost.php AND JOOMLA_ROOT\components\com_joobb\designs\templates\joobb\joobb_edittopic.php.

Find the Code

<input type="file" name="attachmentFiles[]" size="40" class="jbInputBox" />

and change the attribute size to a lower value, e.g. 20.
