Post icon-48-joobb.png in CPanel pointing to /administrator folder

Hi all,

First of all I want to thank the people who developped this fantastic component.

A question:

After you have logged in the Board you will come in the CPanel. One png file (the one for the Joo!BB Forum (//administrator/components/com_joobb/images/header/icon-48-joobb.png) is in the /administrator folder. As it happens, I have protected the /administrator folder with a password. So when people log into the forum and come to the CPanel, people are asked to provide the login name and password for the protected /administrator folder.

Is it possible to also put the Joo!BB png files in an images folder in the /components/com_joobb folder (same like there is an images folder in //components/com_joocm) and then rewrite the CPanel to look for the Joo!BB png file in this folder instead of the images folder in the //administrator/components/com_joobb/ ?

Which file(s) should then be rewritten?

Hope you can help me out with this.

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

first of all, thank you for using Joo!BB and for your greetings. Smile

You can manage it very simple by coping the file JOOMLA_ROOT/administrator/components/com_joobb/images/header/icon-48-joobb.png to an other folder. E.g. JOOMLA_ROOT/media/joobb. Then you need to change the path to this file. Please go (in the backend) to Joo!CM => Interfaces. Find the entry "Joo!BB Forum" and edit it. You can now change the path of the Component Icon.

Regards,
Robbie

If life was just as easy as this solution is, I would opt-in for another one (Party!!!).

Thanks Robbie for the quick and helpful response. Is there a special reason why those images are under the JOOMLA_ROOT/administrator folder? If not perhaps it would be better to put these in the JOOMLA_ROOT/components/com_joocm folder, just to avoid questions like these Wink

Hi Peter,

the reason is, that I've been lazy to make a copy of this image into the frontend. And now you can imagine... Yes! I forgot to fix it before the release 0.9.2. Sad Smile I'm sorry for this. Blush It'll be fixed in 1.0.0 Phobos RC1.

Thx for your suggestion. Smile

Robbie

Well Robbie, all good things will come finally Wink

Perhaps you can also look why the Terms in another language won't show. I have made Dutch Terms, put nl_NL in the appropiate field, but still the English terms show when my Dutch users are looking at the Terms. And the locale of the site is also nl_NL (also the Dutch translation shows).

When is the next release coming (approx. Wink )
