Weird button

I have this weird button next to my post reply or new topic button. It doesn't show anything or offer any links. I was going to mod it into my theme im working on but i can't figure out what it's for.

It's a small theme but it ties in with the theme created by youjoomla.com called Social Bug. I'm not done with it but i thought to post it here. The site is my test site which i will be implementing into one of my subdomains.
