Post Upload

Hi guys!
Again I'm asking this question - i'm sorry for all the nagging.

But, does anyone know when the upload function will be available for Joobb?? I really need this to my forum and sadly I have to switch again if this will not be possible in near future.

Again, I really love this forum, and I would not switch if I weren't in the need of upload in post.

Does anyone know what I can do to make it work by the way? What do I have to change in the files? Any suggestions are much appretiated.

Quote by phnick:Hello,

I installed Joo!BB 0.9 and I do not see the menu option for uploading images? It's important that people posting are able to upload images in their posts.

Can anyone help? I have the setting for allowing attachments on, and I don't see any other settings related to images.

Thanks so much!

Nick

I think this feature will be available in the next release of Joo!BB. They have som problems with it, I asked the same question, so it will be fixed within the next release.

Post Re: Norwegian translation, unsertain about some words

Nice!
I will take a deeper look at this tonight when I get back home from excersise, I'm not in Norway at the moment, so I'm 6 hours behind you in time.

But yes, cross reference may not be a bad IdeaSmile
When I looked at your stuff, I can send you mine. I did the back-end, almost finished. Will finish it tonight.

Have a nice weekend.

Quote by mindy:Hi I need help with joo! bb I am new to this forum but I need a manual to install your emergency.Yes

And I was looking for a top with joo! bb I'd like to try but not how to install it and that is what leads and what version of joomla is because I use is 1.5.10, and I urge a porfis if I know a Habis'm working for a very important page working with young people, which would be very grateful for your help.Handshake

I'm not sure if I'm answering the right question here, and correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't understand all of your english.

If you take a look at this page: http://www.joobb.org/documentation/
It is real simple, I also use Joomla 1.5.10, just install the editor, then the Joo!BB file, and Joo!CM, and then you can configure your board.
Remeber to unpack the installation file before you start, because it's 4 zip files inside.

Again - If the documentation page for innstallation isn't the right, and you actually asked another question, I'm sorry. Try to explain it to me.

Quote by Kniferr:im not really sure about some of the words i meet when i try to translate this to Norwegian Smile

here are some, maybe you can give an explanation of what the mean in English so i can find a suitable word Tongue Out

from the editor translation:

BB_COLORFUCHSIA=Fuchsia - i think this is equal to pink? correct me if I'm wrong
BB_EDITORBUTTONBOLLIST=Bollist
BB_EDITORBUTTONJUSTIFY=Justify
BB_EDITORBUTTONBULLIST=Bullist

thats what i have atm Smile
thanks for all replies Big Smile

Hi .. I don't know about the color though, but in Justify you have to put in one of theese words I think: bevise, justere, rettferdigjøre, begrunne, tilpasse. When it's talk about the editor i think the word JUSTERE may be right.
The two other words I've never heard about, sorry.

I'm actually doing the same thing right now, translating it into Norwegian. Are you doing the front-end now ? Finished with the back-end part?

Picking up the issue

Hi guys!
Yep - It's me again ... I have now encountered the same problem which you guys had, but I don't seem to be able to solve this.

The JooBB Editor seems to want me to use that as a default, and when I check in joomla configuration, it is set to JCE. It still wont load JCE.
I've tried to uninstall JCE, no effect, it won't even load Tiny. By the way, WHEN i disable the JooBB Editor, everything works like a charm, but then the forum won't work.

Same problems as you did, but what can I do. Do you guys have any more solutions? Because I've tried everythin that you did. No luck for me.

Edit: Hmm! Suddenly the things are working again. Not sure what I did right now, but I'll let you know if the problem comes back again. Sorry for flooding the forum with my problemsGiggle

I have the same problem (ver 0.9.1) but I can not reduce the width of the left column, can I solve the problem in another way?
Thanks, Mauro

Do you use a programme to make your template ?? I had the same problem, but I just reconfigured the template in the programme i made my template with. I just had to reduce the width.

Besides that you maybe can edit the .ini files in joobb, remember to take backup before you try this.

Post Re: XML install file for the Translations

Quote by pcio:Hello,

Is there any xml file what I can use for installing my translated languagepacks.

Greetz,
Joey

Do you need one for doing this ?? I was looking at this guide:
http://www.joobb.org/documentation/creating_translation_package_for_joobb.html. This doesn't say anything that we need to make a xml file, I also did take a look at the bulgarian one, which is available for download at this site. That does not have xml file as well.

If you take a look at the link, if you didn't already, maybe it works out for you.

Thank you very much. Looking forward to it.

It may be something wrong with my files, because I had to change something in two of the files to get post icon to be horizontal, and not vertical.

Post Re: Let unregistered users write in surtain forums

yeah .. maybe you're right. That they need an ID. I really don't know, but the reason I'm asking is when I configured the board it kind of says ALL, and let unregistered users just type in a guest name.

So i think it should work, but yet again, I'm really a noob when it comes to databases and how they work.

Upload - Well, in the configuration file I've set it to allow, but it wont even show when i write a message. If it doesn't work, ok, that will probably be fixed, but with me it doesn't even show if you know what I mean?

Post Re: Configuration Help whith joomla1.5

aha .. okei, I see, well maybe i explained myself poorly for the poor guySmile It wasn't my intent to be unclear.

What I meant was just that if he just put a button in the template or not, but if i linked the button to either JooCM or JooBB it should pop up.

What I did, was making the button a part of the main menu, and then linked it to JooBB. But I'm not sure what chetan meant, thats why I had more questions for himSmile

what i have done i am telling you step by step:

step 1. i have just download Joo!BB from this URL: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communication/forum/3438/details
[mod_joobbposts_1.0.5.zip]

Step 2. after that, i have install mod_joobbposts_1.0.5.zip this zip file using Extension-> Install/Uninstall module.

Step: 3. now this Joo!BB Posts is appear in Module Manager

Step 4: now please tell me what should i do, actually i need this Joo!BB forum on click of Forum button which is in my top link/main menu

please help me out

Do joobb and joocm appear under component menu?
If you want to make a button for your forum, go into menu, make new, and push joobb, board layout. Then you will get into your forum.
But if you just put your button on a page?? Is that correct? You have to link that button to something, and i guess it's a menu item ?? Should be easy.

Post Let unregistered users write in surtain forums

Hi again guys!
This is not as critical as my last topic with the editor, but I still want to solve it.

I have different forums, some general, and some I have made private and only for registered users.

my problem this time is that ie Tip / Feedback to the board, I want unregistered users to also post in this section. I've set the VIEW, READ, and POST to ALL, but when I hit the NEW TOPIC button nothing happens. It says I dont have the right permissions.

Is it possible there is a setting in Joomla I have failed to change?

Also - How do I let people upload attachements and pictures?? I cant find anything about it. Do I have to install a module for that?

Again guys! You are great. Love this forum

I just do as I always do, upload and install the downloaded file (joobb_install_pack_0.9.0.zip) from your server. How can I do wrong?

/rudy

Did you unpack the file you downloaded first? The package has 4 zip files in it I think. Thats what I had to do.

Yes, I also thought there would be a template issue, but I tried the default from Joomla, well - I tried actually 10 different ones. No luck.
I tried to turn of the JCE, didn't have any effects.
I have mailed you the pictures.

Re: Problems with my editor

Hi again!
I have now tried to expand the width from 500 to 800. I see changes in the width of the boxes though, but it still doesn't do anything to my topic icons, post action.
Topic action - Still presented vertically
Post action - Still invisible, but they are there. I can see the mouse changes.

The line behind the subject actually got fixed.

I have also reinstalled the board three times on different templates, same error.

I took som pictures from the screen to make it easier for you to understand what i'm talking about, but either I dont have the permit, or it just wont upload.

I really hope you can help me on this.

Thank you for quick response, I really need to solve this problem so I don't loose my writers Smile I've checked, the system editor is set to JCE, and in the forum configuration manager it is set to Joobb editor.

I also tried to change som with from 500 to 450, 400 and 350. It changes some, but it doesn't solve the problem, is it to narrow maybe ??? Do you know how I can change the with I've given to the forum? It is between two menus you see...

I hope I'll get it to work with your help, as I told you, I'm siked about thisWink Keep up the good work.
Maybe I'll write a norwegian language file for this if I can get it to work.

Post Problems with my editor

Hello people!
First, I have to thank you guys for a GREAT forum. This forum solution has everything I need with restricted access etc. Makes it easy to handle the users. Everything works fine, I configured my board, and was to make an announcement to my users about the new forum.Big Smile

My editor doesn't work.Worried Here's what happen

The topic icons are vertically.
The place you write in your subject is between the word Subject and Message.
The buttons for post action do not show

This makes it look like a mess, and I don't think my users want to post messages if I don't do anything about it. Like when I writing this message, it looks great, but not on my pageSad Smile

Can anyone help me??
I will also donate to this project because this looks reaaal good, I just need to get the editor going, and then I'm up.

Hoping for quick response.
Best regards
Sol
