Quote by Unknown:Hello Robbie,
One thing I hope you plan to add to Joo!CM is a gallery.
A picture manager that makes it possible to upload pictures to the users account.
When they write in the forum there should be a option to recall the pictures in the forum post. Joo!CM will have the manager function. I hope this is what you plan to do with Joo!CM.
Hennepdesk
Community builder has a gallery extension. and JooCM enables connection with CB, so you could use that

stfine,
You are correct in thinking that it is not a JooBB issue.
Use you module manger and select those modules that are showing on your JooBB pages.
Then at the bottom you will see a way of being able to unassigned them from the JooBB page. If you need more info on doing this, there are many docs available on the Joomla website.

I agree that there are many features lacking in JooBB, however comparing to projects like PHPBB is pointless, PHPBB has been around for years and is one of the largest open source projects that exists, with a large team of developers and contributors.
JooBB in comparison is just a baby, however saying that in the short time I have been following JooBB's progress many additional features have been added.
As discusses before the developer feels it more important to get JooBB's core to be 100% stable before additions are added to it, which make sence really.
The addition of JooCM to JooBB is a major breakthrough, and a unique concept that PHPBB doesnt have for Joomla, the emphasis on integration with Joomla and other Joomla extensions should be the priority in my opinion.
Rating system and Polls would be a great addition and Im sure they will come at a later date.

The mod was for an older version of JooBB and most likely not be compatible with the most recent version

Avatar selection page has a fault. It looks like an unclosed div. I am using IE7
Just had a thought as well. A "add as friend" feature is a bit of a must for this type of component

Having read your idea for JooBB and JooCM projects I am a little confused why you would want to seperate the two, it would surely make much more sense for the two projects to have the same website. JooBB would become a JooCM extension if I understand correctly.
In regards to discussing with other forum developers, the person who has created ccBoard seems to be a decent person, who I believe would be interested in the concept.
However I wouldnt bother wasting your time with some of the Agora team.

Robbie,

lol Robbie has called me gay 2 times so far I think, but I knew what he was trying to say.
Anyway, this is good news. Am I right in thinking this will be a regular open source project then?

It would "seem" that the development of JooBB has ground to a halt, and the author hasnt visited this site or touch the SVN files for 4 weeks.
Personally I spent a fair bit of time making mods and templates, and offering assistance on this forum. Since it appears that no futher progress has taken place lately, I dont think I will spend my time on here anymore. If/when developent resumes I will participate again. Seems a bit of a waste of time for me to make templates etc for forum software that ma possibily be abandoned.

I get a virus everyweek, but I have good AV software which sorts it instantly.
I have had a PC wrecker before tho, it is really annoying having to wipe everything off

Trevor, as you are using my template for you wifes site, I thought I would look into this in more depth for you. I have check the pages HTML via a markup validator and it appears you have several error which can cause the page to render incorrectly. Please view:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trevorvicars.com%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_joobb%26view%3Dboard%26layout%3Djoobb%26Itemid%3D55&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0
You will notice the first error which is probably causing the malformed rendering of the page.

For your point about JooBB being the default page...
Goto your menu manager in joomla and then select your main menu, then put a tick in the box for JooBB and then use the Default button at the top of the page to switch it over. So now when someone visits your domain JooBB will be displayed rather than anything else.
A few other points...
I have noticed that you are using modules left and right of your forum. This has compacted the forum into a space which is too small. and some of the layout elements on your forum have become broken because of this.
Also please note that it is not advisable to be using JooBB in a live enviroment as it is Beta software, it contains bugs and is not yet stable to use, this is just advise but you can do as you wish.
