I have a question in regards to upgrading.

Everytime a new version comes out, we will have to do a clean install? What I mean is, will we lose all the current content we currently have?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.

Roo.

Jeff,

Many thanks for your assistance. I uploaded the Unziped files into the TMP file and installed from there. It has worked great. Smile

Should I now delete the files it has left in /TMP? Or are these needed?

Thanks again for your help. I am sure I will have more questions the more I play around. Wink

Roo

Hi Chris B, thanks for the response.

I don't really know what you mean (sorry - it is first thing in the morning after all).

I dont have a link to the Installation of JooBB. I am using the 'Install/Uninstall' option within Joomla itself. I browse, select the file and hit 'Upload and Install' and then after a few minutes it dies.

I installed various other components late last night with no problem at all.

I was wondering if there was a way I could FTP the files across and install from there?

Installation 0.7.6
Post Installation 0.7.6

Good evening all.

Firstly let me start by saying how awesome this looks. I have been looking at various 'bridges' for my site, but this is much better. Great work. Smile

In regards to my problem, I have looked through the various 'Installation Problem' posts but I cant seem to find anyone having the same issue as me. Suprised

I have both the 'editors-bb_0.7.1' file and the 'com_joobb_0.7.6' file. I am running Joomla 1.5.7 and MySQL etc all meet the required requirements. Cool

The 'editors-bb_0.7.1' plugin uploads and installs fine. Once installed I enable this plugin as per the instructions.

When I move on to the 'com_joobb_0.7.6' upload I get the following after about 3 minutes of waiting;

Code

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
[list]You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.[/list]

This doesn't make sense as the internet IS connected. The Website isnt encountering any problems (apart from this one) and there cant be a typing error as I didn't type a URL.

I don't really know where to go with this issue or what to do.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

R.
