Post Re: Error Replying

Oddly I just redownloaded the component and uninstalled the previous plugin and reinstalled and now it seems to be working fine however the preview button just clears all my text and does not preview anything.

Post Error Replying

Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home/tradercl/public_html/components/com_joobb/system/joobbeditor.php on line 233

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/tradercl/public_html/plugins/editors/joobb.php on line 101

I receive this error message when trying to reply to a topic on my board using the latest stable release of JooBB 9.2

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

Post Private Messaging

I was wondering if there is private messaging available for users on my forums?

Post Re: Joo!CM and Joo!BB Prototypes 0.9.0

I will be running the new version through its paces on my test server. The installation went just fine. So far the only problem I have encountered was with JooCM and an inability to select and save a preference for my own avatar. The image also looked severely pixelated when I uploaded the file. Once uploaded I was unable to select it as my avatar.

I was attempting to uninstall the prototype 0.9.0 module from a server on which I had not installed any previous version of JooBB. This was a clean install of Joomla on a testbed server.

By the way, uninstalling the JooBB module produces the following error sequence:

JInstaller::install: SQL Error. DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`' at line 2 SQL=DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions` DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;
SQL =
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions`
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;Component Uninstall: SQL error or missing or unreadable SQL file. DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`' at line 2 SQL=DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions` DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;
SQL =
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_topics_subscriptions`
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_joobb_users`;

Jason

P.S. Both errors can be replicated on multiple test servers

Post Re: Joo!CM and Joo!BB Prototypes 0.9.0

There was an error installing the JooBB CM module with the following error:

JInstaller::install: File '/var/www/tmp/install_4999c1b5a7e43/com_joocm/captchas/joocm/fonts/chowfun.ttf' does not exist.

I was installing this on my clean test server.

Jason

P.S. I installed the main file first, then the editor, and then the CM module.

Post Re: First post - question about file locations

Robbie,

Can you confirm to me whether this bug on the image upload will be fixed in the next release? It is critical for a board like mine where we have traders needing to post charts in their posts. Can you also give me an idea of when the release will be slated?

Thanks,

Jason

Post Re: add Image to my post topic

Can you specify how you used the image link codes and what the file locations were?

Post First post - question about file locations

I am very pleased with JooBB and decided to use it on our forums at www.traderclub.com. We will be porting over about 40,000 posts and have re-registered 400 of our 8000 users. I would like to do what I can to contribute to the continued success of the project moving forward. I would like to change the text and background color and have not had time to locate the files where these codes are contained and would appreciate some help locating them. I also did not discover the file upload bug and it is a major disaster for us. Perhaps we can work together to fix this code and enable this functionality before my users revolt.
