I'm looking for a similar thing. the ability in the joocm user list module to be able to filter by a particular profile attribute.
however my request is a front end one vs a back end one. I'd like users to be able to do this.

hehe... there is a bug
. It doesn't concern Joo!BB forum because I allow to post/reply all registered users. But others could have problems.
This will be fixed soon.
When I understand you correctly, you want to decide between people who are able to create a topic and those who are able to post a reply. Am I right? E.g.:
Post: Moderators (User must be at least a moderator to create a topic)
Reply: Registered (User must be at least registered to be able to post a reply)
This will not work in current version and will be fixed in RC3.

Right now you can lock the entire forum but that locks posting also so doesn't work. Also that can only be done by admins.
Will be also fixed soon.
Robbie
that's exactly right. thanks!
Hi it'd be very useful to be able to restrict the creation of new topics to a given group (moderators for example). Essentially allow controls at the level of topics as they currently exist for posts (right now it seems posts/topics are treated as one entity for control purposes).
Right now you can lock the entire forum but that locks posting also so doesn't work. Also that can only be done by admins.

I will check it, fix the bug, and of course, you will get instructed how to delete them.
Robbie
thanks!

Actually figured this out myself. Edited the template here en-GB.com_joobb.ini and the actual code here joobbmail.php
Thanks for having readable code!
I've noticed a few bugs with forum creation and category deletion.
When creating a forum if you don't have any categories set the forum doesn't actually get created BUT if you look on extended attributes for a user you'll see a phantom forum there.
Similarly if you delete a category that a forum is currently categorized as, the forum is deleted but still appears on the listed for extended attributes.
Now that they are there I can't find a way to delete them which is a problem because there are several forums all with the same name. None of which are visible as forums in the forum menu itself.
Is there a way to change the subscription email so that I can put in details of new posts (for example) into the notification email? thanks.
