Ok, thank you for your fast and honest answer. I'll still watch the development of Joo!BB with great interest and guess i'll swith to it later once it has reached second beta or RC status.
As i'm currently looking for a forum solution (and fall in love with Joo!BB after testing it locally), if i'll install 0.58 alpha now, will there be constantly patches for the alpha avaialable or would it be better to use another forum software for now and switch over to Joo!BB later?
Just asking this, as i noticed an update from 0.57 to 0.58 wasn't possible?
Or is it always possible to overwrite the files on the ftp in order to keep the forum uptodate?
Hi Robbie,
i'm really following the releases of Joo!BB with great interest, it really looks better and better every release. Gratulation to your .58 release today. Once it's a beta, i'll use it on my site for sure as the first Joomla 1.5 native forum component (as you mentioned database changes in the beta i'm a little afraid of using it already now). I noticed two little things during the registrattion process.
First one:
The text
Quote by Unknown:Click Here to return to the Indexafter regestritation isn't linking to the index site, it's just plain text (after registration process) without containing any link.
Second one (this could be by intend):
The email sent to my specified email account was completly blank. Especially it didn't contain any link to validate my email adress and i was able immediately to post without validation. I assume this is because of the early alpha stage of Joo!BB or maybe done by intend.
But still, i like it a lot, i hope it will continue to get developed as currently, then it will definitiately catch the attention it deserves.
Is there any backend testing site available to have a look at and maybe a possibility to test a moderator account / moderator features?
Thx for your hard work.
