====== Joo!CM Configuration ====== This chapter covers the configuration of the Joo!CM environment. It is the main configuration of this application. Here you can learn how to configure it to your needs. ===== Description ==== Understanding the environment is necessary to set up the component and to ensure that you have all of the pieces you need to customize it. {{:joocm:joocm_configmanager.jpg|}} ===== Configuration Settings ===== This settings group covers all general preferences related to Joo!CM. * **Community Name.** This is the name of the community. It should be short and meaningful. * **Time Zone.** It is the main time zone of the community and sets which time will be shown to users by default when they visits the community. * **Daylight Saving Time.** Sets, whether daylight saving time is used by the server or not. * **Enable Avatars.** General switch to enable or disable usement of avatars. * **Avatar Source.** If you want, you can use avatars set up in other Joomla components. Supported avatar sources are: * Joomla Community Mananager (default) * Community Builder (CB) * Community Builder Extended (CBE) * IDoBlog * JomSocial * K2 * Alpha User Points * **Enable Profiles.** If you are using other profiling system (e.g. CB) you can turn off Joo!CM profile management. ===== Registration User Settings Defaults ===== With this settings you are able to control to which values the user preferences will be set to on registration. * **Show My E-Mail.** Preset for Show My E-Mail. * **Show My Online State.** Preset for Show My Online State. * **Time Zone.** Preset for the Time Zone. * **Time Format.** Preset for the Time Format. ===== Avatar Settings ===== When you decided to use Joo!CM avatars system, you can set up basic conditions with this avatar settings. * **Image Resize.** Make choice if you want to automatically resize the avatar image. **NOTE:** GD must be installed within your PHP. * **Image Resize Quality.** You can set up the quality of the resized image. Works only if the image is a JPEG. ===== Captcha Settings ===== If you are using the Joo!CM registration and profiling system, you can set up your preferences in this field set. * **Character Set.** This is the character set the CAPTCHA code will be generated from. * **Use Captcha on Login.** Set to yes if you want to use CAPTCHA on login. * **Use Captcha on Register.** Set to yes if you want to use CAPTCHA on register. * **Use Captcha on Request Login.** Set to yes if you want to use CAPTCHA on request login.
